It was a privilege to tour Casa Blanca Elementary in Riverside before returning from spring recess. As Riverside Unified School District’s first STEM-focused elementary school, Casa Blanca Elementary is doing important work. AB 1745 was introduced to provide immediate relief to California drivers by suspending the state’s 61-cent-per-gallon gas tax for one year. At a time when CA families are facing some of the highest fuel prices in the nation, this proposal ensures the savings go directly back to drivers and are clearly reflected on fuel receipts.

For over 30 years, this Riverside powerhouse founded Tower Realty in 1989, co-owns Citrus Heritage Escrow, and has poured her heart into our community, founding the Arts Academy, championing the Cesar Chavez renovation for 25M, and serving on boards from UCR to the Philharmonic.

A California Baptist University graduate and tireless advocate for children and community pride since 1982, Collette truly lifts up Riverside.

Yesterday, we recognized her incredible contributions here at the State Capitol.

Melanie Sadek, President & CEO of Valley Humane Society, and Jenny Berg, California State Director for Humane World for Animals, visited my Capitol office and brought their wonderful furry friend. It was a fantastic meeting, and I truly appreciate all the important work they do. _________________________________El 3 de marzo fue el Día de la Defensa de los Animales en el Capitolio, ¡y me encantó conocer a los adorables perros!
