A design thinking cycle served as part of a summative assessment of learning about ngss science standards challenging Ss to understand how creatures survive with specific structures and adaptations. Here students designed their own animals that could survive the rugged tidepools!
Our learning trip to the Aquarium was a success! We were able to touch and see many amazing creatures. To top it off, our class with a marine biologist was very fascinating. Thanks go to our adult chaperones as well!
Writing can be a collaborative process! The ability to build ideas together, draft, revise, and edit is magnified when done in thoughtful groupings. Here, students use peers to jump-start their narrative fiction writing.
Exploring sound with our science teacher Mrs. Minarik is always an experience-filled time. Here, Ss experiment and observe in study of sound and its characteristics.
