Massive change in the dressing room and culture inbound. Woody and King both popular members and felt like part of the fabric.
I hope Kisnorbo gets to stamp his own style on the incomings and set up some squad stability. Something we’ve lacked heavily since, well, Corica.
We can confirm six departures from our Isuzu UTE A-League squad following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.
Joel King, Patrick Wood, Ahmet Arslan and Corey Hollman will depart the Sky Blues following the expiration of their contracts while Apostolos Stamatelopoulos & Piero Quispe return to their parent clubs following their loan spells.
Thanks for your efforts in Sky Blue, boys 🙌

He’s going to be very, very hard to replace. Wasn’t just on the pitch, it was the personality, his leadership, and ability to liven up the crowd.
Oh and this iconic tweet
One of the best players I’ve seen at Sydney FC. When he was fully fit and firing, he was just incredible to watch.
Shame he couldn’t be farewelled with a toilet seat, but jeez what a signing he was. Been a pleasure having him at Sydney.
After four incredible seasons in Sky Blue, Joe Lolley and the club have agreed to part ways following the expiration of his contract 🥹🩵
One of the best imports we've ever had and everyone at the club would like to wish him well for the next chapter of his career 🫶

I think yesterday will go down as a really good day for Sydney supporters who travelled. A really fun and party-like atmosphere, well marshalled, well organised, and well policed by Auckland coppers.
Vibes were high, locals were very friendly and gracious, and it was just fun.
Going into it with zero expectation and just being happy to be part of it was a new experience. You’re bricking it when you’re a top 2 side in the GF, but when you’re 5th it’s just a fun bonus.
We got two great games added to Sydney folklore this finals series. Savour them.
Well that’s a shit way to go out. We weren’t good enough on the day, but I would’ve bitten your hand off for a chance to play in the GF even a month ago.
Lot to work on for next season. Disappointing that is almost certainly the last of Lolley in Sky Blue.
Socceroos coach Tony Popovic will have up to 38 staff at the FIFA World Cup despite Football Australia flagging savage job cuts to its workforce.

12 - Danny Vukovic (16 in 2016/17) is the only goalkeeper to keep more clean sheets in @aleaguemen season for @SydneyFC than Harrison Devenish-Meares (12) in 2025/26. Assured.
Pretty happy with this. Wasn’t a massive believer but whatever he’s done to the playing ground has seen them playing better and looking happier.
He’s managed to get a lot out of a squad who were deathly low on confidence, and also missing 4 senior players.
PK's staying Sky Blue 🔵
Patrick Kisnorbo has signed a three-year-deal to be Head Coach of our Men's side ✍️🙌
After an extensive three month process with over 20 candidates, Sydney FC's Board unanimously agreed Kisnorbo as the standout to lead the club into a new era 📈

I think PK has done some really good stuff over the last 8 weeks or so. Something I’m definitely see more of is team cohesion and shape.
I think regardless of making the GF or not, he’s put in a pretty good account for himself as permanent boss. Thoughts?
Good quality match but feels similar to some previous semi-final first legs. Telling again our best performers were our Australians.
Some prime Mourinho football might be needed next week.
