@ZimaXIV @Qantas Yes it is. The ground staff were dealing with the on-site stuff. The thousands of other customer service reps could have sent an email or a text. If they had suitable emergency protocols in place, it would have prevented further customers from arriving at an active crime scene.

@Qantas’a customer service this weekend has been absolutely appalling. My delayed flight still says “gate open” on the website. Just be honest. Tell people the airport is closed so that people stop rocking up.

My flight from #canberraairport is meant to be leaving in 10 minutes. I found out about the shooting from a friend and am yet to hear from @Qantas about what’s happening. When I called to get info, the consultant laughed at me and told me to “sit tight”. The airport is closed.
