@timesofindia@the_hindu@IndiaToday Please cover the U.S. F-1 visa slot crisis. Fresh applicants are struggling to get interview slots, while many refused applicants have been waiting nearly a year for another chance. Thousands of students risk missing their academic intake.
A refused student cannot secure another appointment of the same intake. It takes around a year for students and their families to worry about that waiting period. Before 2024, a refused student could secure another appointment within 10-20 days, but after 2024, it is not possible

@vivekagnihotri sir

@vivekagnihotri
Thousands of genuine F-1 students are struggling to secure visa appointments due to limited slots for fresh applicants and long waiting periods for refused applicants. Students deserve a fair, transparent, and timely visa scheduling system to avoid losing dreams
Dear @USAmbIndia,
Thousands of Indian students who have secured admission to U.S. universities and already received their I-20s are unable to book visa interview appointments because the @USAndIndia scheduling portal has shown no available slots for weeks.
Many now face the real possibility of missing the start of their semester.
In an age of AI and digital governance, how can such a situation persist? Is this a technical failure, an administrative backlog, or a policy decision? Students and their families deserve a clear explanation.
Could the Embassy please clarify what is causing this delay and when additional interview slots will be made available?
@USCGHyderabad@USAndIndia
We entered July but still donโt have an F1 slot. I have only 45 days until classes start. When I get the slot, many students are refused and release fresh and refuse slots
Respectfully, Sir Ro Khanna,
Indian students who aspire to study in the United States are currently facing significant challenges with F-1 visa appointment availability and visa refusals
