Excited to share our research that was just published in @tandfonline highlighting part of my masters research on urban lake water quality! @WaterStudies@aspire_dal@drtightline Article: https://t.co/JS2ShPlUma
Shout out to @WaterStudies@aspire_dal@drtightline & @caseyDoucet for contributing data to #Atlantic#DataStream as part of the 2021 Synoptic Water Quality Study 💧🎉 This study started in 1980 to monitor the health of 50 lakes in the Halifax region https://t.co/RGzMpARjoP

Lots of great work occurring in NS on this topic! Many @WaterStudies partners and researchers are presenting their work tomorrow @aspire_dal symposium on algal toxins. @lindserinanders will discuss some of our passive sampler work
Here are a few photos of our ASPIRE students (Baillie Holmes, Tessa Bermarija, Casey Doucet, and Nicole Bell) sampling some of the study lakes by kayak and boat:
ASPIRE students participated in a Synoptic Water Quality Survey of lakes in the HRM area. Over 50 lakes were sampled last week as a part of the survey, which looks at long term changes in lake water quality due to land use changes and climate change processes.
Honoured to have had the opportunity to present my research on N isotopic signatures in sewage at #SAEC2021, and excited to share that I received the Graduate Research Award!! @Dal_SIBL @Dal_ESnENVS
In the final #3MT heat of the day, ASPIRE had two more trainees competing: Caitlin and Baillie. It was a strong heat, with Baillie taking home the win! Congratulations Baillie!
The #Dal3MT preliminary heats are a wrap! Baillie Holmes from Civil & Resource Engineering took the last round with her presentation “Algae, Archives and the Mattatall Lake Conundrum” 🦠🔬See everyone at the finals tomorrow night! 🎉 https://t.co/RtsATeGB52 @DalEngineering
@WaterStudies PhD students Jenny, David (@fosterd3), and Leili (@LeilaAbkar) competed in the 3 Minute Thesis competition this morning! The competition is also an opportunity to share their work with the broader @DalhousieU community and practice crucial communication skills.
