🚨 FAO the drivers using their phone to film a collision scene on the M5 yesterday while passing police , look out for your fines! Using a mobile behind the wheel is dangerous and irresponsible. Let's keep our focus where it belongs—on the road. #DriveSafe#NoDistractions#Fatal5
Another day & another driver putting lives at risk, this one 09:54 in a 30mph limit on the A358 at Henlade!
In the last 2 yrs (2023 & 2024) there were 876 fatal & serious injury collisions on @ASPolice roads. In more than half of these speed was listed as a contributing factor.
This driver presents a significant risk to pedestrians & other road users! A level of driving that is reckless & selfish! This is Lysander Rd, Yeovil just after midday today, when we detected this driver at 72mph in a 30mph limit.

The choices we make behind the wheel matter.
#OpScalis is now operational in 7 UK forces and evidence of how the relationship with crime and uninsured vehicles is inherently connected. 60% of vehicles seized through operation tutelage have secondary offences. A fantastic MIB supported initiative to reduce road danger.
THINK! has relaunched its speeding campaign: ‘Is Pushing It Worth It?’, encouraging young drivers to rethink their speed and adapt to changing road conditions, especially on rural roads.

Drugs and a knife were seized from the vehicle too and this week the two people arrested at the scene were jailed.

We are working across the region to address the high number of motorcyclists involved in collisions on our roads. Working with partners such as @SC_RoadSafety we want to understand more about the factors involved and develop operations & initiatives to address this risk.
Near miss reports provide us with a valuable insight & helps us understand more about the underlying risk & causations found in fatal & injury collisions. So far we've received 12k reports but only 214 have come from motorcyclists!
