This might be unpopular opinion but I think the Gaang let Zuko in too quickly. I'm shocked that he went on a trip alone with Aang and no one thought even for a second that it might be a ploy to capture the Avatar.
one of my favorite things about music is accidentally growing into a song. you hear it once and feel nothing, then months later life happens to you and suddenly every word makes sense.
no the fire nation isn’t only japan. no the air nomads aren’t only tibet. no the sandbenders aren’t only west asians. yes avatarian is orientalist. yes it’s always had indian influence. yes removing chinese influence is sinophobia. atla is the biggest basic asian history test
i always come back to this tweet. it’s insane how some people completely miss the point of aang’s characterization and story. it was never about what others would’ve done in that moment, but about how aang was able to end the 100 year war without betraying his culture
honestly horrid world building if you want me to believe that the uk is big enough to warrant having its own exclusive school but india and china have to share one
i hate when ppl say "u are so pretty how come u dont have a bf" as if a boyfriend is a reward for being beautiful? or maybe i am pretty bc i dont have an annoying bf up my ass every day ever think of that
Being in a bad mood is soo humiliating like why am I replying in one word answers this is ruining my brand as a delight to be around I feel so naked without my zest for life
I genuinely don’t understand how we are supposed to casually process that a glacier literally collapsed in Nepal, erasing 19 bridges and killing over 600 people, because the planet is too hot. And instead of stopping it, billionaires are building more data centres. Psychotic!
I always thought it’s so disrespectful to call Katara’s rightful anger ”sexual tension” she had previously witnessed Zuko assist Azula in Aang’s death and betrayed her trust. There’s nothing in her here but rage. She had every reason to distrust Zuko. Zuko was also the personification of the trauma she had endured from the Fire Nation.
the hardest part about making friends is everyone already has their people. they have their own friend group with years of memories and inside jokes. when ur new it’s like ur intruding. they’ll talk to u, maybe they’ll hang out with u but u can feel that u don’t belong.
