If Egypt insists on a hand in the management of the GERD, then logically Ethiopia might well ask, in the spirit of reciprocity, for a hand in the management of the Suez Canal.
An annual tradition
On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, we hosted members of the less fortunate in our society for the annual Iftar dinners. Tonightâs fast was broken with a spirit of compassion, unity, and community.
The leaders of Egypt and Sudan have recently talked about GERD being unilateal. They should be reminded that Jebel Aulia, Sennar, Rossaries, Khasom El Girba and Merowe in Sudan and the High Aswan Dam, El Salam Canal and Toshka Canal in Egypt are all unilateral.
It is my hope that our beloved nation, Mama #Ethiopia, will transition beyond the era of war, poverty, ethnic hatred, divisive politics, colorism, corruption, and media manipulation, which have fostered division among Ethiopians. It is my prayer that the upcoming year will be marked by peace, prosperity, and a profound sense of unity among our people.
Ethiopia will undoubtedly prevail ððâ€ïž
