kinda funny that engagement-seeking rightwinger slop accounts are positing "Troy" as the Honest, Manly epic Homer adaptation (vs Nolan's Odyssey) - I actually like it, it's a weird film, but also it is very clearly a diatribe against the iraq war, and very anti war in general.

Postliberals will really be like “you believe in GDP growth? that pales in comparison to my strategy, robust communities with real human flourishing” and then not create robust communities but everyone gets poorer thanks to bad economic policy.
Having his corpse used as a procedural barrier is, like, probably for real what Mitch would have wanted. Great composers never die, they simply become music.
Saying this the nicest way i can: what i think less artistically serious people dont understand is many critics & cinephiles try to go into movies with an open mind. Its hard to make a film! I’m inclined to want to enjoy what i see. Its not our fault when it leaves us wanting!
