Senator Kalu: How much is left of the N16.6 billion you received from the 2025 budget?
South East Development Commission (SEDC) Managing Director, Mark Okoye: We have N11 billion.
Senator Kalu: You have N13 billion. I've spoken to the CBN. You're dealing with government officials. I'm disappointed in you, and this committee is disappointed.
SEDC MD Mark Okoye: But I informed you last Friday, and you said I must come. I have evidence.
Senator Kalu: Listen to me, you have one little office in Abuja where you pay 153 million. One room office! This committee knows.
Canada’s 🇨🇦 immigration system is changing, but the biggest opportunity right now isn't hidden in the policy, it's in the preparation.
The candidates who get permanent residence invitations may be the ones that are quietly preparing before the new system even arrives. The biggest advantage right now isn't luck, It's being ready.
Here is what most people are missing.

All Lautech students, suspended by the university for protesting, have been pardoned and the suspension has been reduced to letter of warning by the senate, after the intervention of the NANS PRESIDENT…
Special appreciation to the university Vice chancellor and the university senate , for listening to the voice of reason from Nigerian Students.
This little boy did a taxi interview with Pep Guardiola 10 years ago when he became coach of Manchester City.
Few days ago, Pep resigned as coach of Manchester City after a phenomenal time in charge of the club.
He went to see the same little boy and surprised him. This video will put a smile on your face.
What a really beautiful clip.
THIS IS THE BIGGEST WIN 🇳🇬❤️
Even Al Jazeera is reporting it — Nigerian security forces record a major breakthrough, rescuing 360 abductees from Boko Haram captivity in Borno State.
A significant victory in the ongoing fight against terr0rism.
🧵I traveled to the US-Mexico border in Tucson and San Diego to get answers to my long time questions about illegal migration to America.
This was what I found 👇
🚨 Pep Guardiola: “What is Barça missing to win the Champions League? The Champions League is a competition that DESTROYS projects, and I hope that’s not the case at Barça”.
“We must not think that just because you don’t win it, everything that has been built is no good. The league is the competition that gives you consistency and continuity. In the Champions League, you need to reach the decisive stages in good condition, without injuries, and refereeing also has a huge impact”.
“What matters is that the daily work is excellent, that the team keeps growing and improving, and that they don’t believe the season is a failure just because they don’t reach the Champions League final or win it. The league is what sets the foundation for judging whether a season has been good or not”.
RFV is to Outland applicants what P2 confirmation is to Inland applicants.
RFV - Ready for visa (the email you get once your permanent residence is approved as an applicant outside Canada)
P2 - Portal 2 confirmation (the email you get once your permanent residence is approved as an applicant inside Canada)
In September 2025, we launched a Free Accountability Group to provide additional support to 100 members of our community who are working toward obtaining permanent residence. (We actually ended up selecting 110 people).
We already offer a significant amount of pro bono support to the wider community, but I kept having the nudge that some people could benefit from more personalized guidance and accountability.
Since September 2025, we have hosted free monthly group sessions and met individually with some members who have unique situations. The results have been incredible.
Many members have now received their Permanent Residence, Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) nominations, or Invitations to Apply (ITA) through provincial or federal pathways. Last month alone, three members of the group received their PR approvals.
Along the way:
• Some gained clarity on the exact steps they needed to take toward their goals.
• Some discovered they were already eligible for PR.
• Some received insights that helped them realign their immigration strategies.
• Some found the encouragement they needed to keep going, whether that meant rewriting a language test or intensifying their efforts toward French proficiency.
• Some learned about PR pathways they would never have considered otherwise.
• Some secured better jobs through connections and opportunities we helped facilitate.
And that’s just the beginning.
It is amazing how a single encounter can positively impact someone’s life. I am deeply grateful to God for the many success stories this group has produced in less than a year.
A few days ago, one of our members shared the news that their family had received permanent residence. It has been one of the highlights of my month.
I look forward to celebrating many more success stories in the months ahead.
Who is next?!
I spent a significant part of today in discussions with the Vice-Chancellor of LAUTECH, during which we reached a mutual understanding that the affected students will file an appeal against the decision, and that the Senate will convene on Monday to review its resolution.
In view of this development, I earnestly appeal to all comrades to sheath their swords and allow the Senate to carry out a proper review and reversal, so as not to further complicate the matter, and to ensure that the affected students are able to resume their academic activities in due course.
Furthermore, I wish to appreciate and commend the Dean of Students Affairs for his proactiveness and fatherly disposition.
Going forward, as I have always maintained, I wish to reiterate that protest must always remain our last resort. The guiding principles of Aluta, consultation, consolidation, and confrontation must be strictly observed. Before we resort to confrontation in any struggle, we must have exhaustively explored and exhausted the first two Cs.
That said, as your President, you can trust that I will never compromise on our collective interest and the welfare of Nigerian students.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
