If ur gonna bank on ur beauty, or shape or figure for a man,
Ur a joker,
Becos as everyday a man goes out,
He sees better beauties,
But he doesn't see better character,
Because the world is going bad!!
Give a Man a Hammer and everything looks like a Nail to him.
You follow someone who fast and pray , and you seek him for advise - the first thing he will Tell you is - have you prayed about it .
Someone whose life is built on discipline, and he will tell you ain’t disciplined enough towards your Goal .
Follow around someone who is a lawyer , and he will tell you , do you have pure evidence .
This is where I am going ,
be careful , most people will advise you based on their
View , path and Struggles before you even tell them the problem.
Sometimes Look deeper .
Gross monthly minimum earnings in the UK based on a 40 hour wage equates to £2,203 or £2,065 based on 37.5 hourly wage calculation.
You'll pay tax, council tax, rent, water, electricity, gas, food, internet, and whatever monthly deduction applicable. You'll not be rich, but ypu can pay your bills. You can pay your rent and you can eat well.
Gross monthly earning in Nigeria is N70k. That amounts to N840k per annum. Self-contain apartment in Surulere is over a million naira. We are swimming in gross poverty. This is not life.
You have any more comparative topic you like me to talk about?
Some of you need to accept that the street is not for you. It's very okay to find a partner you are committed to, and love the fvck out of each other.
You're not a player or bad bitch, and that is okay.
I met my neighbour on my way to work today, and we got talking.
She told me she’s going back to university.
At 54.
She’s studying AI and robotics .
I was genuinely impressed. I told her, “I commend your courage.”
And it reminded me of something,
If you’re 30 today and the course you want to study will take 5 years, you might think, “I’ll be 35 by the time I finish.”
But here’s the Koko ,
In 5 years, you’ll be 35 anyway.
The question is whether you’ll be 35 having taken that step, or 35 still wondering if you should have started.
Never shut the door on education because you think you’re too old.
Learn. Develop yourself. Take the leap.
Time will pass whether you start or not. Make sure it leaves you better.
Treat this as a financial update and a wake-up call.
growing wealth is only half the job. Protecting it is the other half.
We talk about stocks.
ETFs.
Property.
Pensions.
Compound interest.
But one major life event can put pressure on everything you’ve spent years building.
Death. Serious illness. Loss of income. Damage to your home.
That’s why financial planning isn’t only about accumulating assets.
It’s also about managing the risks that could force you to sell those assets.
Life insurance.
Critical illness cover.
Income protection.
Appropriate home/mortgage protection.
Then beyond insurance: pensions, wills and trusts where appropriate.
As you aim to grow wealth, build protection around it too.
Because making money is one job.
Keeping what you’ve built is another.
What do you think is the most misused word in 9ja?
I'll go first.
MALICE
.
.
.
What you call Malice is Stonewalling.
Refusal to talk to a person and cut off communication during conflict, or anger, is called STONEWALLING.
Malice simply means intention to commit harm.
Nobody is keeping malice with you. That phrase doesn't exist and doesn't make sense in English. The person is stonewalling you.
If I could go back to when I was maybe 25 or 30... This is the advice I'd give myself because I see the leaks in my world today and hope someone learns from it.
1. STAY.
Stay when nobody is clapping.
Stay when the idea stops being sexy.
Stay during boring operational years.
Stay long enough to develop managers.
Stay long enough to build systems.
Stay long enough for compound effects to appear.
And when something truly is dead:
end it completely.
Don’t keep dead projects on emotional life support.
2. Don't be like me... I divided my money, attention, emotional energy, time, and leadership across too many futures... and none of them received enough concentrated force for long enough.
Five promising things can leave you poorer than one or two boring things that compound for ten years.
You might be a man with great ideas and crazy ambitions but:
Let ONE become the main mission. It gets the overwhelming majority of your serious building energy.
ONE may remain secondary only if it is cheap to maintain and doesn’t compete with the first.
Everything else gets one of four words: PAUSE, DELEGATE, SELL, or END.
Choosing one does not mean the others were stupid... It means you finally understand opportunity cost.
Many of you who are just like me do not need another beginning... You need a completion.
Those who know me too well or have worked with me will tell you one truth: “If a project stresses SPIRIT, that project is RIP... It doesn't take him time to raze down the structure and vanish.”
Again, NEVER be like me... You need the stress or you might never amount to anything.
And another important thing, have people in your life who understand you deeply and help you understand that life is not about Jump & Jump but instead it is more about Build, Energy & Patience.
I have the best minds working with me, Yomi, Kale, etc... These people are demonically brilliant... But I can tell you today that I wish they were more brutal with me and took advantage of the grip they have on me rather than focusing on protecting the relationship between us.
I love and appreciate them regardless.
In the last few months, my STRATEGIC PROJECT MANAGEMENT supervisor Sir Jace Subramoney changed my life in ways he might never know.
In him, I saw someone who believed in me and was ready to k!ll me if I ever doubt myself.
Both him and his course made me realize how many years, time, and energy I have wasted.
Build a process another human can execute without calling you... Create something that survives a month without your personal energy.
That is the transition from visionary to builder.
Again, don't be like me, don't be tired of visibility... Put yourself out there and keep yourself out there no matter how much you think you have made.
I know better and I am better.
Have a lovely week.
My mate back in England married his first ever girlfriend.
They met at school. Never left our hometown. He still works at British Gas, the same company he joined at 21. Heads down the pub every Friday.
They've got two kids, a garden, a dog. She still looks at him like he's the only man in the room.
He's never read Atomic Habits. Never "worked on himself." Never bothered to optimize his supplement stack.
I moved to four countries, built a business, reinvented my entire life. I wouldn't change any of it.
But when he sends a photo of his family eating Sunday roast together, I think maybe we're all overcomplicating this.
I am a Samsung fan and a born antagonist of iPhone cos of its senseless overhype and crase around it, but iPhone has a VERY EXCELLENT resale value. Samsung does not.
iPhone is the boss of smartphones when it comes to resale value.
It's when you get to your 30+ as a woman, and you do not have any man that will ask you:
"How are you doing my baby?"
And it's when you get to 35+ as a man, and you do not have any woman that will ask you:
"How are you doing my darling?"
He is not asking you that because he wants to sleep with you, but because he genuinely cares for you.
She's not asking you that because she wants to bill you or tell you her family problems, but because she genuinely cares about you.
That is when you'd realize how important it is to have your own man or woman that you'll call your spouse.
As you grow older in life, you'll grow lonelier.
Your mates, friends, siblings, colleagues will not sacrifice their family time because of you.
You'll find yourself making friends with people you naturally wouldn't want to be friends with because you're lonely.
It doesn't matter if you have all the money in the world.
Your money will only help you mask your misery to those who are close to you because of your money.
They'll continue to milk from you and giving you a faux sense of happiness.
If you sleep with different women, you'll be happy.
But after they leave, you'll feel dirty and empty.
And vice versa.
You need your own person.
You cannot do this life alone until you die.
Even if you do, you'll die unhappy and perhaps, unfulfilled.
End.
In celebration of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, quote this post with your favourite title of Our Blessed Mother.
What do you call Mama Mary? 👇🏽
: Mother Thrice Admirable
The crown and sceptre, symbols of royalty and authority, will only be a weight and burden in the hands of a child.
Likewise, the sword and armour, symbols of a warrior, will only be a weight and burden in the hands of an unskilled person.

A woman may not be bringing a salary home, but that doesn't mean she isn't contributing to the family.
The values, discipline and confidence your children have can also be a reflection of what their mother is teaching them at home.
Not everything a wife brings to the table can be measured in naira.
Some contributions only become obvious when you see the kind of children she is raising.
Sometime last month, I was sitting in my veranda.
Then my daughter came to me that she wanted to show me her assignment.
I asked her to sit on my lap and she refused.
Me: come, sit here.
Her: No daddy, let me get another chair.
I insisted, and she obliged.
When we were done, I kissed her forehead and asked her to go. As she walked away, I called her back.
Me: I asked you to sit on my lap but you refused, why?
Her: Daddy, because it's not proper for a girl to sit on a man's lap.
Me: But I am not just any man, I am your father.
Me: I agree with you, and you should not sit on any man's lap. But you should trust your father to always protect you, and he won't harm you.
Her: Okay, daddy.
I knew my wife had been giving her all those orientations, and I was very pleased with what my daughter did.
Giving me the confidence that she's becoming more self-aware at almost 13.
Another day, I was about to drive out, and I asked her to go open the gate for me.
She was putting on shorts that were revealing her thighs.
She quietly went into her room, put on a long gown and came outside to open the gate.
I observed what she did and smiled quietly but didn't say anything.
I want to let some of you married men to know that some of these things are what your wives teach your daughters when you're not there.
And you're not so self-conscious as to even recognize the efforts of your wife.
You overlook these things and still do not appreciate your wife because she's not bringing in any money, and you think that makes her a liability or that she is not contributing much to your life.
You'll know your wife's level of moral assertiveness and discernment from the way your children behave in certain situations they find themselves in.
Especially in the public.
And especially your daughters.
Everything is not about money.
When you ask a woman what she is bringing to the table, this is part of it.
Your child will not just automatically learn morals or behavioral etiquette just like that, without a self-conscious mother.
The school, movies, church or even books may not be as effective as their mother's guidance.
And when you notice these things, do not just trivialize them or act as if they're normal or expected.
Learn to draw your wife's attention to what you observed, and thank her for her efforts.
That's why you're her husband.
End.
Nigeria is dangerously not inclusive.
I know this doctor that stammers. When he goes for interview, he sees his colleague spend up to 30 mins, but his interviews doesn't go past 5 mins. He could tell they just want to dismiss him and move to the next person.
The doctor went for his PLAB exam in England. A day was set aside for doctors with speech difficulty. They were given extra time and asked if the time would be enough for them. He passed the PLAB. In Nigeria, when he takes exam, he has to finish within the alloted time given to people without difficulty.
How do we expect perfection from people who are already with personal difficulties? We need to imbibe grace as a people.
Femi needed ₦50,000 to expand his suya spot, two people offered to help.
By the end of this thread, you'll understand debt and equity better than the average person.
