Their pioneering work in understanding peripheral tolerance and regulators of the immune system led to a huge body of work that contributed to the understanding of diseases caused by breakdown of immune tolerance and facilitated drug developments that target immune regulation.
Throwback to one of our favourite immune cells! Congratulations to Drs. Mary E. Brunkow, Fred Ramsdell and Shimon Sakaguchi for winning the Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology 2025!

#HotOffThePress New Publication Alert! SIgN Group Leader, Dr Tay Rong En and his team show in new research that inhibition of serotonin receptor 5-HT2A could potentiate anti-tumor T cell activity in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)! 1/6
As 5-HT2A inhibitor drugs are available as oral tablets, they are more convenient for patients as compared to immunotherapies that typically require intravenous infusion at specialised facilities. The team hopes that this work will contribute to accessible therapties for HCC. 5/6
