Student Chapter for the Optics & Photonics societies here at Aston university. We organize scientific events for students and early career researchers.
Earlier this week, we celebrated International Women's Day in our event titled Inspire and Aspire: Celebrating Women in STEM. The event was co-organised with AIPT and included inspiring talks over lunch.

Happy International Women's Day!
At @AstonPhotonics, we will celebrate it on 12 March with the event “Inspire and Aspire: Celebrating Women in STEM” co-organised with @aston_chapter! Stay tuned, we will share details about inspiring talks.
Last week, on February 8, 2024, we hosted a PGR talk where Alberto Rodriguez Cuevas, PhD student at @AstonPhotonics, presented his research on Polarization Multiplexed Dual Optical Frequency Comb: Study, Dynamics, and Applications.
We had our first event of the year, Meet & Greet, on 19th of January 2024. During it we introduced the new chapter officers, presented the benefits of joining Optica & SPIE & had a fun filled evening with snacks.
