The community of Winburg, Makeleketla has been calling for MACUA, and we answered that call.

We went on the ground to begin building a core group, and what we found is a community that has been fighting alone for far too long.

Residents raised urgent issues: weeks without water, ongoing neglect, and empty promises from mining companies that appear only when it suits them, never to deliver real change.

But something important has begun. The people of Makeleketla are organizing. Their voices are coming together. And MACUA is there to ensure that their struggles are not ignored.
