Update: The ATCF has now been override to 140 knots; making #Bolaven a #Category5 super #typhoon according to the JTWC in the next update. A last minute change that may save them from the bashing, but at first glance the storm is likely around 145-150 knots in strength.

Remarkable on how an agency thinks this is 135 knots. I've only just woken up, but this certainly isn't "135". Yet another in the long list of things that the JTWC has done wrong this year, with the worst being Saola.

#Lee got hit hard by wind shear despite the aggressive forecasts days ago as it currently remains a weak major #hurricane. It is expected to strengthen again.

#Margot and #Jova also veer to the sea, with the former expected to become a minor hurricane.

#OTD in 1987, Typhoon Holly peaked out to sea, and well.. This storm is among the most underestimated storms the last time I checked in a server.

What I can talk about though is how beautiful it looks even with the lack of images outside the HURSAT database.

#Hurricane #Lee weakens to a #Category4 after getting hit with shear; on the other hand, #Jova has a satisfying structure despite being weaker than before. Margot is still alive, just very slightly weaker.

#Margot was also named, while #Jova, another hurricane that attained Category 5 status yesterday, spirals to its demise.
