my favorite part of the BTS st book is how it gives exactly 0 kudos to the brothers for eddie's character creaction and 100% of the kudos to joseph quinn and one of their eps who just wanted a character inspired by his big brother

@montaukpper it's very much like a BTS special rather than a traditional "book about show" so it's all very like...highlighting big scenes or set pieces or purposeful designs and then explaining the thoughts and ideas that went into it. it's v much a straight "the making of _" tome

Months ago I preordered that BTS ST book and it just came in. Them naming the Vecna section "The Evil Within" gave me a chuckle since I love that game so fun coincidence but then I turned the page and see early designs and-

@montaukpper it's very episodic so there are multiple sections throughout that are very joyce or hopper centric. im unsure if they're all new but lots of bts pictures as well as tons of up close pictures of props, set design, and storyboards.

they only mention basing him off of 80s slashers but whY HAVE THEY NEVER ONCE MENTIONED HE WAS DEFINITELY also inspired by ruvik/the evil within. it is so ridiculously clear in hindsight.
