i am leaking salt water
there is a hole in my chest in the shape of a shell
there is a hole in my chest and it’s shaped kinda like you

A devastatingly honest and poetic bloodletting full of tenderness and rot, where sex becomes a metaphor for grief. electric starfish and other names for grief is Icarus Grey’s third attempt at a chapbook and perhaps their most visceral.

A very loosely connected bunch of poems, this book gives name to the many shapes of anguish; some soft and sentimental, others screaming into the void.

Icarus Grey is learning to play the banjo, and just trying their best. This chapbook will crack open your chest and scoop out the insides.
