He once appealed to British people on social media to read the Qur’an in order to develop hatred toward Islam.

However, one of his followers, a British citizen named Christos Onassis, decided to act on that suggestion and began reading the Qur’an. But as he continued reading, his perception began to change completely. Instead of hatred, he felt a growing attraction toward Islam. Eventually, he embraced Islam, testified the Shahadah, and changed his name to "Abdul Bari."

Later, he wrote on social media:

"I started reading the Qur’an after seeing Tommy Robinson’s tweets, and as a result, I ended up reciting the Shahadah on Sunday. Tommy is misguided about Islam and intends to spread hatred, but reading the Qur’an made me realize the truth."

After the alleged Pahalgam terror attack, India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) as retaliation. Pakistan responded by closing its airspace to Indian airlines (and India did the same to Pakistani flights).
Ties remain frozen as of June 2026. No such “water-for-airspace” bargain was offered.

Quick reminder on the 1960 Indus Waters Treaty:
* Pakistan gets ~80% of the total Indus river system waters (western rivers: Indus, Jhelum, Chenab).
* India gets ~20% (eastern rivers).
This treaty has been Pakistan’s lifeline for 65+ years.

Why the IWT is existential for Pakistan:
* It irrigates 80-90% of Pakistan’s farmland.
* Supports agriculture (huge share of GDP & exports like cotton).
* Powers major hydropower plants.
* Supplies water to major cities.
Losing treaty protections would let India build storage dams and divert more water → serious shortages for crops, food security, and the economy.

Long-term impact if the IWT is fully scrapped or stays suspended:
* Potential 20%+ drop in water flows to Pakistan.
* Big hit to agriculture, hydropower & exports.
* Risks of food insecurity and economic damage for a population of 240+ million.
Water is not a bargaining chip — it’s survival.

Now the airspace part:

Where is the evidence? Not a single verifiable statistic. Not one named source. Just the same tired tropes recycled for an audience that wants to believe them.
The claim that Pakistanis as a community don't recognise these characterisations isn't just defensive — it's factual. Because these aren't descriptions of a people. They're caricatures drawn by those who've never spent meaningful time with one.

And here's the pattern worth noticing: this view of Islam, reductionist, essentialist, stripped of all nuance, is exactly the version peddled by Hindutva ideologues and Zionist propagandists. Two faces of the same coin. Both need Muslims to be a monolithic threat. Both profit from dehumanisation.

As for the man himself? I'd go further than questioning his credentials. He's fool’s gold for your echo chamber; someone's useful idiot, trotted out to say the quiet part out loud so others can maintain plausible deniability.
