also dcc apparently sending their white knights to harass someone with the most polite critism, said white knights being *checks notes* a sad OF fanpage and a far right lunatic
as well as the horrible treatment we all as artists have received, and seeing the disgusting behaviour towards cosplayers, attendees and disabled people
In all seriousness, we've stated this on Instagram and tiktok already, but we will not be ever attending DCC again, and not just because of the "alleged" blacklist,
but bc we refuse to support a con with such a horrendous moral, crying over being "harassed" whilst checking on people's stories and tweets and sending ppl to dogpile defend the con from any criticism
it's insane to me that the organiser of this con is agreeing that autistic ppl with sensory issues are a "generation of babies". flaunting on Instagram how accessible they are bc their elevators have braille (when they dont) then liking posts mocking disabilities online. pathetic
Con organisers personally coming up to the alley to intimidate an artist over a misunderstanding, is a bad look. You can talk to the people funding your con by buying tables like professionals
Yeah so anyway I've tabled at a good number of the cons throughout this country for years, along with usually much the same crowd, and I've never seen such a unanimous level of contempt to any of the other events. There's a common denominator here, and it's not the artists.
Hey @DublinComicCon could you explain why the owner of your convention @brenach_ is encouraging bullying of his attendees by liking comments from an outspoken homophobe?
