Chalo, telling everyone why Akshaya Tritiya should be celebrated tomorrow despite there being Dwitiya Tithi at sunrise.

The tithi which is in progress at mid-day (duration of day ÷ 2 added to the sunrise time) should be accepted for #AkshayaTritiya. If Tritiya commences before mid-day, then Akshaya Tritiya should be observed on that day only.

Since Tritiya will start at 7:50 AM on 22-Apr-2023, this tithi will be in progress during mid-day. So, Akshaya Tritiya should be celebrated on this date. On 23-Apr, Tritiya will not be in progress during mid-day, so it is not advisable to observe Akshaya Tritiya on that date even if Tritiya is the Arunodaya Tithi (Tithi coinciding with sunrise).

UGC rules in present from are discriminatory against GC and not acceptable at all and should be either taken back or modified to accommodate all castes, including the general caste, as victims.
