Very honoured to be awarded the 2nd year physics prize from @DurhamPhysics 🎉 I’m now looking forward to wrapping up some exciting projects and paper writing in 2025! 🚀
The call for session proposal submission is now open!
We invite sessions from the astronomy, astro-particle, instrumentation and solar physics communities! 🚀🔭

Last month I had the wonderful experience of attending the HERA24 early career researchers in astronomy workshop at the @academyofathens. Athens was on my bucket list and the city did not disappoint! Definitely the fanciest location for a talk 💫
Wonderful time celebrating incredible achievements in astronomy and geophysics at the @RoyalAstroSoc awards dinner @hullrasnam2024. Congratulations to Leah for winning the Fowler Award and giving a beautiful speech 💫📡 #NAM2024#RAS
It's paper day!
My first PhD paper is published today with MNRAS @RAS_Journals. I am so proud and grateful for the opportunities created by this research.
You can read it here: https://t.co/d0ALg9GaR7
.@AstroLeConte and fellow @DurhamPhysics astronomers used the James #Webb Space Telescope to look back more than ten billion years in time and saw that the #Universe’s early #galaxies developed much faster than previously thought! 👉 https://t.co/6vWPDWb7v8

Are you an early career researcher interested in bars (galactic ones✨)? Then there's a Heraeus-EAS workshop in September 2024 just for you! Deadline to apply is 30th of April (selected applicants will have their local expenses fully covered!): https://t.co/IIuvnoyWFV
This month I was invited to join a colleague in La Palma for an observation trip. A surreal and extraordinary experience with the bonus of some clear nights to get some spectroscopic data of barred galaxies using the Isaac Newton Telescope 🪐 #INT#astronomy#observatory
@DurhamPhysics Astronomy welcome party and Halloween celebrations 👻 We are the supercomputer COSMA (plus Hamilton). I am COSMA 6 which was recently axed 🪓
Our paper on the optical morphologies of galaxies up to z~6.5 through visual classifications in CEERS is now published in ApJ. The NIR/IR JWST capabilities reveal that the structure of these galaxies have a lot in common to the ones in our local universe.
Bars in disc galaxies are abundant in the local Universe but decrease with redshift. For the first time, we observed the fraction of bars in disc galaxies beyond redshift 2 using JWST and found the fraction to be 3 times greater than the HST bar fraction. https://t.co/MxkZ9dTJOX
