Even though I have been working hard with my team and my medical staff, we have now had to make the difficult decision that I will not be able to compete at the US Open this year. We have been back on court in Monte Carlo over the last couple of days and have realised that I still need more time to recover from my right knee issue. Iβm obviously very sad and disappointed, as New York has a special place in my heart. I was very much looking forward to coming back and playing in the electric atmosphere in front of the great fans there. β€οΈ
Iga Swiatek dedicates her Toronto title to anyone who is dealing with unfair judgment and hate
βIβm really happy about this tournament. It means so so much to me. These past months were not easy. Iβm really happy I kept focusing on growing, changing my game a little bit, improvingβ¦ despite all the opinions many people have about me every day on the internet. Itβs not easy to deal with all of that. Iβm happy the reality is different. The reality is that I have people that know me so well and people that support me. Theyβre here to give their best work. Just keep pushing you know.β β€οΈ
βI want to dedicate this title to anyone whoβs dealing with unfair judgement and hate. Just keep pushing and keep growing. Keep focusing on yourself. You know what the best for you, always remember whatβs ahead and what might be possible.β β€οΈ

Even with a tired body and a hurting ankle, Alex Eala still refused to give up. She fought for every single point until the very end.
Rest well, Alex.
This loss doesnβt take anything away from what youβve already achieved. It only shows the heart that got you here, and the heart that will take you further.
We are so proud of you. Truly.
Mabuhay, Alex. π΅πβ€οΈ
#AlexEala #NBO26
This is what makes Alex Eala so special. No matter what the result of the match is, she always takes a moment to thank and acknowledge her fans. And the crowd, in return, gives her a warm ovation. That, after all, is the true mark of a great athlete.
ITS OK!
Alex is like a battery that just got drained. Tried hard til the bitter end but her best was not enough today against a superb Bencic. Nothing to be ashamed of though. It was her best win streak so far. But as always, in victory or defeat, Alex will always make us proud. Go Alex! Mabuhay π΅π
