Colour inverted with original pencil drawing black on white

Obs. exp. was ONLY ~6 months from terrace with club's 6" f/9 Dob (handmade) on Messiers in 2003!

Remarkable that a 7x50 binoc was used to locate it in the devoid f.o.v. of Pisces!

40 km south of Bangalore (!) in a forest

8" f/8 reflector + manual EQ mount [both local club made] + plastic Ramsden eyepiece (32 mm, 50x)

Description:
It was a challenge to sense with the 7x50 binoc given that I was a beginner.
With the 8" it was clearly there, bright & elongated. The impression to me of the elongated tail was like that of "loose hair flowing from a lady's head".

Because, instead, I chose to focus on the paper work than sky work, i.e. literature & history.

Few do history.

Worked out better residing in a city which remains clouded, blue-less, for 300 nights a year.

* CCD Hunting - 5 minutes with 10-inch f/5 + EQ6 Pro + SBIG ST8XME, manually slewing FOVs (2025)

Barely a start, nevertheless, a start it is.

"Observed Saturn the same FOV it was hiding in that night" ...
as with few to many thousand others worldwide, even those imaging

Nobody got it, none lucky! The ace David Levy did, it was written for him!!

INSTANCE: Observed Saturn the same FOV it was hiding in that night (time-zone difference)
