Ahem... Children having to sit in car seats until they are 12 years old has been the law in Germany since like the early 90s. Alternatively they have to be larger than 150 cm to be allowed to ride without one.

I just learned that new safety standards have children in car seats until they’re about 12. Like, you can do basic algebra but no calling shotgun. I know these things are not at all related… it’s just weird to think about bc at 4 I rode in a front middle seat.
