@bjoewolf My son has autism. Since he was a 2nd grader, we’ve presented to his class on autism. I explain autism then he shares how it affects him without shame or embarrassment. Autism is part of who he is just as being a lesbian is part of who I am. Teach and model self acceptance!
I hired lots of great educators as a school leader but Mary Chance of @Hoggmslibrary is one of the best! Editorial: If books are essential to a good education — why aren’t librarians? https://t.co/52YgpKZClX
#Truth “Education in America is a commodity purchased in the marketplace of tuition and real estate with high quality schools accessed by those who can afford them and under-resourced and underperforming schools attended by those who cannot.” https://t.co/uAAJdVV41U
I’m not sure what this says about the level of my cynicism, but the fact I found most surprising in this article is that school board members in Florida are paid! https://t.co/vJ2ZVBXGNA

#LeadershipFriday Being held to a higher standard and accountable for improving student outcomes does not equate to a “toxic work environment”. Not giving your best effort daily and being allowed to be mediocre in the name of any child is “toxic” and immoral. #LeadersLead 📚
We have a plan for pooled testing with follow up individual testing for positive pools but it will take @PAHealthDept 4 to 6 weeks to approve the required certificate. @pahealthsec can you cut the red tape for schools? https://t.co/iXCi5N1cVW via @politico
It's time to take back control.

I have a message for all the little girls and boys out there who dream of growing up to be superheroes: Superheroes walk among us.
They’re teachers, doctors, scientists, vaccine researchers—and you can grow up to be like them too.

Dear educators: 2020 has been one hell of a year. Of all government agencies, no entity handled the pandemic better than you! Now, take some time for yourself and your family. Job well done 👏🏾
The real test of leadership is the degree to which you are willing to ‘be different’ in order to do the right thing. Some keep doing the same things the same way are are not too concerned with the ‘right thing.’ And, some just don’t know what to do, so they do what they know.
