Did you know?
The concept of Mahishasur being ancestors of santhal(Tribal) was first started by a Norwegian missionary named Lars Olsen Skrefsrud in his book Horkoren Mare Hapramko Reak Katha in 1871.

This is just the tip of the iceberg
He was a monster.
When 1000s of Hindus were massacred by Muslims in Calcutta, Gandhi was asked what Hindus should do in such cases, he replied:
If through deliberate courage the Hindus had died to a man, that would have been deliverance of Hinduism & India & purification of Islam in this land”
Gandhi would repeat this theme again & again that Hindus should willingly die at Muslim hands. The bizarre justification was that “If we were to be killed, would we rather not be killed by our Muslim brothers?”
On April 6, 1947, at a prayer meeting for Rawalpindi victims, he exhorted Hindus to face death bravely if Muslims wanted to kill them all, without harboring any hate for their killers. That way Hindus could usher in a "new world order by sacrificing our lives" for Muslim rule.
Despite all the violent massacres orchestrated by Muslim League, Gandhi supported Jinnah's lies. He told Hindus "to face death cheerfully if Muslims were out to kill them" Not once did he ever say the same words to Muslims asking them to die quietly at Hindu or Sikh hands.
These are all documented as his own words.

In Jyotish it is said that the 8th house carries 8 avguna and 1 guna.
Most people repeat this line as a warning. Very few stop to ask the obvious question. Which 8, and which 1?
The answer begins with the grahas themselves.
Each one is not just a planet but a philosophy, a complete view of what life is for, and Parashara gives each its own avatar to make the point.
The Sun holds to order and duty, as Rama did.
The Moon holds to love and belonging, the way of Krishna.
Mars holds to force that protects, Narasimha.
Mercury holds to reason and the question, the Buddha. Jupiter holds to dharma that asks for little, Vamana. Venus holds to desire and its refinement.
Saturn holds to endurance, bearing the load from below like Kurma.
Rahu holds to the dive into the unknown, like Varaha. Ketu holds to "not this", carrying only the seed across the flood, like Matsya.
9 grahas, 9 philosophies, 9 ways of being human.
Now place them in the 8th, the house of death and of all that is hidden. This house does not ask what a philosophy promises. It asks what remains of it when the end arrives. Krishna says that whatever a man holds in his being at the last moment, he goes to that. The 8th is where that holding is exposed.
Parashara answers with unusual precision. Reading where a soul goes after death from the grahas in the 6th, 7th, 8th and 12th- strongest, he sends Jupiter alone to the world of the devas.
The Moon and Venus go to the ancestors, still tied to lineage and longing.
The Sun and Mars return to the round of birth.
Mercury and Saturn go down.
Mantreswara completes the count, saying Rahu acts as Saturn and Ketu as Mars.
So 8 fall short and 1 rises. The old saying was never a superstition. It was arithmetic.
Watch how each of the 8 fails. Order hardens into an ego that cannot bend. Love becomes the fear of losing. Force becomes the wound.
Reason becomes secrecy and doubt.
Desire turns toward what belongs to others.
Endurance sinks into grief.
Ambition becomes deception, and renunciation becomes isolation with nowhere to go.
Not one of them is destroyed by an enemy. Each is undone by the very thing it worshipped.
Jupiter survives for one reason. Its philosophy already includes the end.
Dharma that has made peace with death leaves the 8th house nothing to take.
When Vamana's third step pressed Bali into the underworld, the Lord himself stood guard at his door.
The Gita counts the same way.
Krishna calls his lower nature 8-fold and his higher nature 1, and he names that 1 the Jiva, the life by which this entire world is held.
Jyotish gives Jupiter the very same name.
Among the grahas, Jupiter is called Jiva.
So the 1 that holds the world in the Gita and the 1 that survives the 8th house in Jyotish turn out to be the same principle.
The shastra keeps returning to this number for a reason.
So I no longer ask a chart how strong a man is.
I ask what he worships. The 8th house will ask the same question, and it does not accept a wrong answer.
Ved Vyas in Devi Bhagavat Puran mentions about why Navratri is kept during season change. Esp the Sharad and Vasant.
He mentions that these two seasons are Yama danda for all. They are capable to cause dreadful and disease-causing for humanity. Therefore the wise worship Chandika means Sharad and Vasant are Yama-danda and hard for beings. They are fearful, produce disease and can destroy everyone. One seeking self-welfare should therefore carefully keep the Navratri Vrat. In Chaitra and Ashvin worship Chandika with devotion. Shubho Mahalaya
Tomorrow is Sarva Pitri Shraddha Amavasya. Those who wish to pacify their ancestors may follow this simple remedy of reciting the 7th chapter of the Bhagavad Gita with a vessel of Ganga jal placed beside you. Afterwards offer that Ganga jal together with black til to Surya Dev and pray: “O Surya Dev, Yamaraj is your son. Please grant peace to the departed souls of our family. May the merit of today’s recitation of the seventh chapter of the Gita be bestowed upon them.
The ancestors are said to be pleased by this act and it is believed to support the birth of good progeny in the family. This should be performed tomorrow during visible Sun.
