🚨♻️ PLASTIC POLLUTION IS NOT JUST “OUT THERE” ANYMORE ♻️🚨

For years, people talked about plastic like it was only an ocean problem.

Bottles on beaches.
Bags in waterways.
Trash in the streets.
But the research keeps pointing to something bigger:
microplastics and #nanoplastics are being found in the human body. 🧠🫀🫁

Recent studies have reported plastic particles in places like the brain, liver, kidneys, blood, placenta, and arterial plaque...and while scientists are still working to understand the full health impact, the warning sign is getting harder to ignore.

This does not mean panic.

It means we need action. 💚

Small changes matter:

🥤 Use glass or stainless steel when you can
🔥 Don’t microwave food in plastic
🧹 Reduce plastic dust indoors with cleaning / HEPA filtration
🛍️ Cut down on single-use plastics
♻️ Pick up plastic before it breaks down into smaller pieces
📲 Log your cleanups in the Plastic app so the impact becomes visible

Experts still say more research is needed to fully understand cause and effect, but reducing unnecessary plastic exposure and plastic waste is a practical step we can take right now.

That’s why $Plastic matters.
Because every bottle picked up…
every bag removed…
every cleanup logged…
every community that shows up…
is not just about making a place look cleaner.
It’s about protecting our water, our food, our communities, and the bodies we live in. 🌍💚
