New @BW feature: A landmark case was unearthing new revelations about Amazon's intimate, intensive regulation of drivers it claims aren't its employees. Then Trump put Amazon's former lawyer in charge https://t.co/WhkEoRk0JF
Based on 1000s of pages of records and 50+ interviews
Amazon sets the routes, the quotas, the uniforms, the cameras — and then tells workers they don't actually work for Amazon. Every delivery worker in this city should be able to afford to live here and have their rights respected.
Workers deserve better.
On its third attempt tonight, Marblehead Town Meeting approved an “MBTA Communities–compliant” district largely centered on the 125-year-old Tedesco Country Club, meeting 3A requirements on paper while all but assuring no new housing would be built.
This comment says it all.

This law divides pedestrian sidewalks into two "lanes"— one for pedestrians who walk more than 4MPH, and one for those who walk at a slower pace. Pedestrians in the slower lane will be subject to congestion pricing and tolls.
This is the vegetable omelet MRE. It costs the U.S. government approximately $12.50 per meal for the full MRE. SNAP benefits per person per meal in the U.S. is approximately $2.00. These people are fucking idiots who just hate poor people.

Since @DHSgov is once again trying to politicize a tragedy, let's set the record straight here.
Every commercial driver’s license issued by PennDOT is cleared by the federal SAVE database... administered by Kristi Noem.
This person had legal status in Noem's database when the license was issued, and actually still shows as eligible to receive a license *as of today.*
@Sec_Noem — you should probably get your own shop in order, because your operational failures seem to match the scale of your moral failures.
GRAPHIC: CBP officers shoot another person in Minneapolis at point-blank range. Footage obtained exclusively by BT shows federal officers on Nicollet Ave. on top of a man on the ground, before one CBP officer pulls his gun and repeatedly fires. Witnesses say that after the shooting CBP then walked down the block filming bystanders. Nothing else is known at this point about what preceded this, the identity of the man shot, or his current condition. FBI agents and an ambulance are at the scene.

The 111th mayor or the 112th? Is this today’s “to be or not to be?
Zohran Mamdani references @lizkimtweets discovery that the city’s longtime count of its mayors was off. Whichever it is though, he says, he’s honored to be it for New Yorkers
