I've been working on a small indie mobile app for the game Galaxies (aka Tentai Sho) for quite some time. I took a loook break from it when work got hectic but I'm back on it and I'd say I'm about 90% finished.
Here are some screenshots from the Godot build. Let me know what you think!
We were at DEF CON and found child predators just around us. We chatted with one. Hackers, listen up. We need your help. Watch the interview with @0dayCTF (link in the reply)
Godot is such an amazing tool. It's a joy to work with and I truly hope I can get back into it soon.
Check out @ushadersbible as well, it has some amazing stuff.
This open-source tool generates normal maps for pixel art sprites
It works with both single sprites and animated sprite sheets, turning flat pixel art into assets that can react to dynamic lighting in-game.
You can run it:
> locally from the CLI
> directly in the browser with WASM
That makes it pretty easy to drop into an existing pixel art pipeline without depending on a hosted service.
Small tool, but genuinely useful if you want 2D sprites to have more depth without repainting everything by hand.
In November 2000, Lisa Reid, a woman who had been blind for more than 10 years, bent down to kiss her guide dog goodnight and hit her head on a coffee table.
The next morning, she opened her eyes and realized she could see again.
Lisa lost her sight as a child. When she was 11, she developed a brain tumor. Surgery saved her life, but the tumor had already damaged her optic nerves. Doctors told her she would never see again.
But somehow, one bump on the head had brought it back overnight. No one could explain how.
Seeing the world again was a huge shock, especially when she looked at her little brother for the first time in years and realized he had grown into a man.
