I'm delighted to announce that THE IMMORTALS OF TEHRAN is coming out in paperback this April. And with a new cover!
Not only do these flames remind me of the fiery poetry in the novel, but I can't help reading them as symbolic of the tumultuous year this book was born in.
The Arabic translation of THE IMMORTALS OF TEHRAN is out by @AlArabipd in Egypt. It was in the making for a long time, but it's out in the world now, released first in the Riyadh International Book Fair. Can't wait to get my copy.

Talking to the next guest, Charles Bolden, head of NASA for 7 years: “Clearly A massive day for India. [Some fillers] SO YOU THINK DELIGHT COULD BE SHARED AROUND THE WORLD?” Would he have asked this if the landing had been achieved by an American or European agency?
Film and TV writers are on strike demanding, among other things, protection against AI taking their jobs. Maybe literary writers, too, should put pressure on (big) publishers until they commit to never publishing texts written by AI.
My Uber driver said it took him 3 months to travel from El Salvador to the US. He spent another 3 months in jail here, but now he has a work permit and is waiting for his green card. I felt happy for him. People should have the right to move around to make their lives better.
