I hope these boys know that there is still such a large group of people that are so incredibly thankful for them and their portrayal of two characters that mean so much to so many people. We really don’t know how lucky we are to have two people that love and respect the source material as much as the fans do.

It’s almost laughable how some people can claim to love a show like Heated Rivalry, a queer story rooted in confronting racism and homophobia and then turn around and direct that same racist and homophobic rhetoric at its two lead actors. If you can’t grasp the most basic points of the show, maybe don’t be here for season 2. Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie there is so much love for you both and I hope that isn’t being drowned out by the hate.

The behavior we continue to witness within this fandom is abhorrent and deeply disturbing. The racist, homophobic, and overall hateful comments and actions directed towards Hudson, Connor, the cast of ‘Heated Rivalry’ or to Hudson’s loved ones are entirely unacceptable and have no place on our page.

At the end of the day, we were fans of ‘Heated Rivalry’ first - just like all of you. Supporting Hudson and Connor should never be framed as a competition. It is entirely possible, and frankly expected, to uplift both of them in their individual journeys without pitting them against each other.

We have voluntarily dedicated a significant amount of our time to running this updates account and organizing giveaways to make things accessible for his fans and we will continue to protect our peace and our boundaries from harassment, misinformation, and hate in whatever way we judge is necessary to prevent us from deactivating our Twitter/X account. We have every right to do so.

Our intention has always been to foster a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment - not only for the fandom, but for Hudson and anyone close to him who may come across this space. We do not wish to amplify hate by giving it unnecessary attention, but we are aware of the concerns regarding certain accounts. What brought us all together was our shared love for this story and its characters. Let’s not lose sight of that.
