@dublinbats01@LoganStout I feel that transferring between divisions should be penalized less than staying in the same one. Start off D2 and perform and want a shot D1 sure free transfer. Start D1 and realize you aren’t ready and want to go D2, NAIA, etc. there shouldn’t be a punishment.
@Robg1063 RPI seems to value who you play more than what you actually do and BoChip seems to value winning even if the strength of schedule isn’t there. Interesting to see how it all pans out this year
@nextlevelbb That is surprising. Most of my high school players can throw end zone to end zone on a pull down but are mostly low to mid 80s. Guess that means we’ve got some work to do mechanically
@natalieburke24@TullahomaCoC@939theduck@Vol_Baseball They could have said “he isn’t quite the prospect his older brother was just yet but he’s a good player in his own right”. No reason to take it that far, especially a high school kid that still has time to develop
@coachzblair10 In college we often took BP in shorts, but we had to all wear the same shorts. I don’t see a big problem with it unless it’s during a game.
@Robg1063@NAIABall I am hoping as teams play more games that the parity will reduce. BoChip favors teams that have played more games. RPI is all based on percentages so the number of games played shouldn’t matter as much.
@BBGreatMoments I would like to to see ABS on some of the 90s guys. Yes the accuracy was pinpoint but they were they also benefiting from getting the call if they hit their spot. Would be less walks today with this zone
@TopVelocity Brent, I agree with this, but it is also important to emphasize the difference between top velo and average velo. There are many high schoolers that touch 90+ but they can’t sit anywhere near it. That’s why training (like TopVelocity) is so important. Build the base that can last
@j0ew00ds@Michaelfiore This is also why many high school players that “throw 90” don’t get the offers they want. Yes they can hit the number but it’s a max intent throw. Avg velo > top velo
@j0ew00ds@Michaelfiore This is 100% true. There is also a difference between throwing a given velocity and sitting that velocity with low stress. The best starters I played with would sit 92-93 but had 96 in the tank. Other guys could get up to 92-93 but with too much stress to recover quickly.
@nextlevelbb I understand that the technology is different but how exactly did the old system measure it at the plate? If there is a gun behind the catcher how would it just know to pick the ball up at the plate. I do agree the old guns will read slower
@NAIABall@tnor46@_TaylorThomas14 How many games can LSUS go without losing the streak?
Way too early 10 teams to Lewiston.
Thoughts on the new postseason format for next year.
@pitchingschool Mechanics look very clean. Ceiling will be very high. One thing I don’t understand is it seems like he gets good ride from the video but the metrics suggest more of a sinker profile (a dang good sinker at that)
