How does the Google feed on my #android phone still not have an ability to filter out subscription-based #news sites, and/or ability to tag your subs. Is #Google getting a commission for signups or something? Show me headlines for articles I can read, dang-it :)
Just had a great impromptu chat with @Natalie_Furn - She's doing some cool things, compiling #nocode resources for helping people build digital products without the barrier of software development.
Non-developers can have good ideas for "internet businesses", too! :)
@ryandeiss This was an actual retro topic just a few hours ago. Teams not sure there is enough cross-visibility of what they are all working on. Very important, even if only to help ensure team members feel their work is being valued by peers and the company.
If you woke up today having no preference on tech-stack and wanted to build a paid digital service, how might you begin?
- try to research/decide on a single full-stack framework to learn/use?
- small website + gumroad + small portion of custom functionality?
- something else?
@remarkablepaper I switched to a hotspot from my wifi, but I'm not sure I want to do that every time. Is there a setting, or something I should be looking at to figure out why it's not working though my main wifi?
@remarkablepaper any idea why my R2 would say error updating? It says 2.4 is available, knows the size, but won't actually update. Device just arrived today!
I buy so many notebooks that I never use. Each new notebook is put it off to the side - waiting for the perfect reason. I'm perpetually scared to "ruin" new books by writing the wrong thing on the first page.
Meanwhile, my moleskine is my only used notebook - first entry: 2009
@stevencorona Same re:shortcuts - I am on a macbook during the day, & linux machine(s) at night - tempted to see about mapping one to the other to get back in sync.
@IndieHackers Trying to put a value on advertising for https://t.co/Lvi3vsnjbT - adsense is doing really bad - considering using patreon to sell the space of my main ad block & some 'sponsor' logos below.
Speaking of https://t.co/Lvi3vsnjbT - we should circle back soon on our first article!
@joehall Is the cost savings worth the management hassle? vultr/DO/uploud are all so easy to use... I tried to log into google to check out the free tier once and it was a mess.. amazon is a deep muddy pool as well.. Cost seems like the last thing I consider anymore.
Outside of JQuery the last JS framework I used was angular 1, I have done little on the frontend in years.
I have work to do & need to choose a world: NG, React, Vue, others?
I know bootstrap, but would be keen to roll over to tailwind if something integrates better with that?
