I certainly see this at times; a resistance to be challenged by those who navigate trauma or societal ills in their work. Sometimes art is about turning to face uncomfortable subjects- as art simply embodies the full spectrum of the human experience after all, including its pain.

@dreamcatevo Very interesting. I feel I can see where you're coming from all things considered; most works do come off as "monotonous" to me. Formulaic/uninspired. I myself really hunger for artists that break the mold; those that aren't driven by the algorithms of commercial success
