A Chief Minister’s family being in the real estate business is, in itself, a conflict of interest.
A Chief Minister knows everything that is going to happen in the state, including where new roads will be built, where new cities will develop, and where metro lines are coming.
This information can directly benefit the family business. They can buy land at low prices and sell it later at much higher prices.
It may not sound like corruption to some, but it is similar to insider trading, an unfair advantage that ordinary citizens do not have.
In fact, no minister or their family members should be allowed to run businesses that can benefit from government decisions. Ab Desh ki Sewa kar rahe hai to itna balidan kar hi sakte hai.
Accountability is dead in @PMOIndia INDIA…. Loot from the sacred Ram Mandir. No action. Mess up kids lives. Continue as Cab minister, indulge in land corruption stay as BJP CM. Ethanol Gadkari is in a class of his own
Dear @BJP4Bengal and @BJP4India, yes, it IS your prerogative to include any rubbish you want in the party, and what I say is clearly irrelevant, but as a citizen, supporter and voter, if THIS toxic piece of shit comes in, I am pressing NOTA in 2029!
