CTAhas been taken which shows the ascending aorta is dilated measures 5.8 cm in maximum AP dimension, from the aortic root/sinotubular junction.( Ascending aortic aneurysm). The aortic arch, descending thoracic and abdominal aorta appear normal in diameter to the bifurcations.

37 Y M came to the ER with a history of palpitation and chest pain / chest discomfort with sweating since 2 days .
The patient has HX of DEXTROCARDIA and SITUS INVERSUS 🫀

(Dextrocardia is a condition in which the heart is pointed toward the right side of the chest. Situs inversus is the arrangement of the internal organs which is a mirror image of normal anatomy)

3- Injecting at minimum of 4cc per second ( Very fast flow rate of contrast)
4- I highly recommend you to put the ROI to the RT atrium or RT ventricle 🫀.
5- Change the Trigger into 80HU.

Tips and tricks that I learned during my experience with CT-PE to have an optimal study:
1- Always choose a good site of cannulation ( larger vein = more contrast ) avoid the smaller veins on hand 🤚which are a high chance of extravasation.
