@Tsar_Martyr Humans are quite literally a species of animal.
Sure, we're pretty damned smart, but there isn't a single proven thing that creates a fine line between human and animal.
@gl_anchan@MasterMaliq Oh no, you don't get to do that. You see, you implied that 'real Muslims' follow what is written in the Quran. And thus, I'm holding you to that standard, as the Bible - if read literally - endorses slavery, genocide, etc. And thus, modern Christians aren't 'real Christians.'
@IslamMustDieURR@MasterMaliq Then, by your standards rather than mine, Christianity is exactly the same as it also spread via violence and because organizations like the KKK and slavers pre-emancipation also generally worship the same god other Christians do.
@GigaBasedDad Lad, one can be entirely healthy whilst being vegan; plants are quite diverse. However, even if they were missing something here or there, dietary supplements also exist.
@crusaderfidelis@deusimpera I don't care either way for him. I'd imagine that would go for many other atheists. Dawkins' beliefs on AI has, as far as I'm aware, nothing to do with atheism.
@_K1dtake0ver_ It is definitely condemnation, even if you may not see it as such. It's making them out as being bad for not obeying your deity. As for forcing your god on them, they can't just walk away from it due to how much religion ends of affecting their lives, such as through politics.
Kinda wish more Christians were... y'know... actually loving and accepting as their holy book supposedly tells them to be. The amount of folk that use Christianity and other religions to not just deny reality, but to also attack folk they don't like is saddening.
@RealPostFolder Which god? Perhaps the Norse Pantheon? If they're real, then if you don't die in glorious battle, then you'll be sent to Hel rather than Valhalla!
Pascal's Wager foolishly assumes the only possible options are Christianity or no god.
@_K1dtake0ver_ It's not that the folk don't like criticism, but that folk don't like having beliefs forced onto them.
When you tell them positive stuff about your god, then they'll usually shrug it off. But when you condemn them via your god and religion, they see it as disrespect.
@NoraSquirrel@5solas Aye, that is what's known as God of the Gaps. Put simply, gods are used to explain the gaps in humanity's collective knowledge. However, as you noted, the gaps that gods used to explain away have begun to shrink drastically.
