yes, living in the biggest & most expensive city in the country means your cost of living SHOULD be higher. The services provided & used are exponentially higher than elsewhere. The value of housing is severely higher than elsewhere. It should cost more to maintain a life there

As a landlord who owns multiple properties, tenants don't understand what we go through. If you stay at home all day you're going to use the floor, switches, toilets, kitchen more which increases the maintenance that needs to be done and the apartment ages twice as quickly.
