One of the best parts of my internship at @Amanpour is pitching + producing the “And Finally” segment — closing the show with a message of hope✨💬
This was my favorite one I wrote last week. The words of Holocaust survivor Selma have stayed with me ever since. Have a listen🕊️⬇️
As journalist @christogrozev was under threat from Russia, forced away from home, his father died suddenly. Grozev doesn’t know if he was killed, but still feels guilt: “Even if he died just because he got sick and nobody was there to help him… that’s still my guilt, my fault.”
Very proud to have researched and co-produced my first @Amanpour interview! 🤩🎬

“The Navalny investigation… was the trigger for Putin to actually decide to put me on the kill list, because it was extremely humiliating for Putin.”
A new @frontlinepbs documentary, Antidote, shows how spies developed plans to kidnap & kill journalist @christogrozev.
🚨 Two months ago, I moved to London and joined @cnni as a News Programming intern!
I’m thrilled to be working on the current affairs programmes @amanpour and Isa Soares Tonight. From Trump tariffs to the Pope’s death, it’s been a busy few weeks & I’m excited to keep learning 🎥
🌍 I interviewed Dr Ben Wilson of @sciaf who is in Baku for COP29. He spoke about the importance of climate finance and Scotland’s role:
“At COP26 in Glasgow, I think there was a lot of hope … but I think there is a lot of pessimism going into the start of this conference.” ⬇️
On Remembrance Day, veteran Bill spoke to us about the 9 friends he lost while serving in the Falklands War:
"They died and everything stopped. I have had the years since then: to be a dad, to be a granddad, to have some beautiful dogs ... they will never ever have the chance."
🎥: Families at the Erskine Veterans Village are marking Armistice Day.
Wreaths have been laid to remember those who have lost their lives in conflict since the First World War ⬇️

🚂 Good news for subway enthusiasts!
I spoke to @PaulJSweeney who supported the campaign: “These iconic orange trains are so well loved by Glaswegians. It’s part of our everyday life in the city and sometimes we don’t appreciate the value of that until they are no longer there.”
Around half of Glasgow's iconic subway fleet from the 1980s has been salvaged from the scrap yard by local campaigners.

Started my placement at @Clyde1News yesterday and am looking forward to gaining more broadcasting experience!
Very excited that my story on a Glasgow pizzeria owned by two life-long friends was included in the radio news bulletins! Listen in at 102.5 FM 🤩
As the sun is rising over Ayrshire, Labour have won both Central Ayrshire and the Ayr, Carrick and Cumnock constituency, gaining two Westminster seats from the SNP.
This historic swing to Labour can be seen across Scotland, raising questions about the country’s political future.
Excited to be working for @SkyNews tonight at the General Election count in Ayrshire!
The atmosphere feels tense as both constituencies being declared here in the early hours are predicted to be marginal. I’m looking forward to inputting results as they happen #skynewselection24
Just settling down to read the papers ahead of the @SkyNews press preview this morning, open @thetimes and the first thing I see is my @WIJ_Scotland mentee @AthinaBohner’s byline on P3. What an auspicious start and what a gal.
