Your media company does not love you.
You provide a service for them.
Now, your management may like you very much. They may put you in brochures, pay you great money and have you talk to the fancy advertisers because you are charming as hell.
But they do not love you. And they will break up with you one day.
You can love the work. You can love your colleagues.
But it's a business. Always.
I've seen too many in the business have their marriages and partnerships get destroyed by not having those boundaries. It can also kill your health, mental and physical.
Good on Lexi for realizing this at a young age.
I really hope he doesn't get mad at me for releasing it, but I have found the recruiting map that @CoachScottCross uses to bring in future @TroyTrojansMBB players.

I will always be convinced the amount of air traffic accidents hasn’t increased even remotely and that news outlets have simply found the newest fear mongering tactic that gets the conspiracy theorists going so they just report it more
Seems like a good time for my annual reminder to journalists, fans, bloggers, social network peeps, students, TV network people, and the world:
Super Bowl is 2 words! Yep, so-
Super Bowl ✅ 🤩
Superbowl ❌ 🤬
Learn it, live it, love it. Thank you for your time and Go Birds🦅
My journalistic pet peeve (one of many) is popping up everywhere today.
When was the last time you said the word roadway? It’s just a road.
Please stop writing it in broadcast and print.
@BayNews9Jeff has my back here I’m sure 😂 #WriteLikeYouTalk
Woman calls the @wusa9 news desk tonight.
Her: Can you tell me if DC Public Schools are open tomorrow?
Me: Well, they were open today so I’d imagine they’ll be open again tomorrow.
Her: Wait, what? They were open today?
Me: Yep.
Her: Imma go beat that boy’s a**!

HARSH TALK BUT TRUE --
If you're afraid of upsetting people in government, you should probably work in PR.
We're not cheerleaders.
Put a mirror up to society -- warts and all.
Sanitized, manipulated pretty pictures aren't helping anyone except people who don't need the help.
Journalists, avoid these words for the next few days: Winter Wonderland, white stuff, Mother Nature, Old Man Winter, Storm of the Century, travel nightmare, brave the elements and TV anchors-do NOT tell frozen reporter/photographers to "stay warm out there."
@WriteLikeUTalk Unfortunately, MANY EP’s, Producers, and Anchors check the RUN TIME of net packages, BEFORE even watching the story(if they even do that!)
“Does the “RT” fit a slot in my show? Book it!”
“Time fillers” insult viewers..
QUESTION WE NEED TO ASK OURSELVES MORE OFTEN:
Is this story just patronizing?
Can't tell you how often we report 'stories' so full of common-sense info that any normal adult already knows.
It doesn't serve the viewer.
It just serves us... by filling time.
Set the bar higher!
