Great to be part of this initiative by MNU: Introducing the first online academic journal dedicated to security analysis in the Maldives, providing a platform for rigorous research, expert insights, and data-driven discussions on national and regional security.
An inaugural ceremony was held today to mark the investiture of Dr. Aminath Shiyama as Quality Assurance Controller at Central Administration, and Dr. Athaulla Ahmed Rasheed as Head of Centre at Centre for Security and Strategic Studies.
During the ceremony, both newly appointed leaders shared their vision and outlined key goals to enhance their departments and contribute meaningfully to the continued growth of the Maldives National University.

Maldivian Coast Guard Ship Huravee set sail for Maldives on 21 Apr upon completing her maiden Normal Refit at @IN_NDMB. Over the last four months since her arrival at Mumbai on 13 Nov 24, major works concerning maintenance of all machinery, weapons, and sensors, along with a habitability upgrade, were undertaken. The ship was thereafter put through rigorous harbour & sea trials, operational checks of equipment, safety audits and Operational Sea Training before her departure.
The successful refit of MNDF Huravee underscores the strong diplomatic and military cooperation between the two countries and reaffirms India’s unwavering commitment to being a reliable partner in the region.
