Interaction Design Day at NID Bangalore held on 4th October 2025, spotlighted how design transforms our daily objects, blending tradition and tech for a better future. Alumni panelists Nambirajan V, Ghanesh R S, and Sreyan G, along with faculty leaders Jagriti and Athul, shared inspiring stories on making products more accessible and culturally meaningful with AI.
The event saw students showcase innovation around everyday objects, while 40 aspiring designers joined a hands-on workshop to create AI-powered renderings from sketches. The excitement peaked with a designathon, where teams solved real-world challenges using what they learned. Three creative solutions were chosen as winners by our expert jury.
A celebration of creativity, inclusivity, and the next wave of interaction design!

PG Interaction Design 23 batch students, namely Deeptam Das, Pallavi Saratkar, Sunayana Das, and Devyani Krishna, mentored by Athul Dinesh, were selected to showcase their work at the Royal Society of Arts, London.
This work is a result of collaboration with RSA on their project “RSA Spark”—a new form of Student Design Award that they have the privilege of winning in 2020.
Starting September 2024, the students and faculty helped RSA develop and beta test the UX of the RSA Spark orientation platform, design the learning modules, and refine the information architecture. This early involvement allowed them to experience the platform’s development process in depth, and, as recognition, they were awarded special badges for their contribution as beta testers.
Building on this collaboration, the students submitted a proposal for the RSA Spark. Student Design Awards. Their project submitted, “Signages & Sips: Brewing
Conversations,” reimagined local chai tapris as vibrant conversation hubs by placing witty, thought-provoking signages to spark curiosity and encourage dialogue.
We are delighted to share that this project was selected to be showcased at the RSA.Spark Day at RSA House, London, on 23rd September 2025.
