Slow when necessary, fast when necessary, consistent when needed.
Always reminding folks that there is much more that unites us than there is that divides.
University grad, feminist and best selling novelist here. 50 years married, still very happily, 2 kids, 3 grandkids & another on the way. Misogynists keep trying to tell us we’ll be miserable & alone if we dare to accomplish anything other than male servitude. Utter tosh.
We can continue pretending that President Ruto understands our struggles and challenges, and that he will treat with utmost respect our blood, sweat, tears, and taxes.
Or we can choose an honest leadership that treats every tax shilling as if it’s the last we have—and invests it to create work and opportunities here.
This is a form of violence against women: online gender-based violence- the misogynistic commentary & character assassination of women. The portrayal of women as seductresses who bring men down & morally suspect. It normalizes public humiliation of women based on made up stories.
It is not @dkmaraga who requires that government should be 50% female, it is the Constitution.
And demand for "merit" when it is women's turn to be considered is just a structural pretext for perpetuating men's mediocrity in public spaces.
Again, gender parity and competence are not mutually exclusive. Stop making it an either/or. The 2/3 gender rule is not a suggestion and there are innumerable competent women for Maraga to pick from.
Watu ni wajinga ama ni Mimi? Having 50% women in government doesn't mean just handing women positions because they are women. It means 50% of the workforce will have qualified women the same way the other half needs qualified men. Toeni ignorance na ujinga kwa fikra zenu
as much as folks might think he's not doing enough, or going big enough. this is actually how politics in kenya is supposed to look (without looting stupid warchests to fund ridiculous campaigns)
Dear kenyans, God is trying to help us out. Imagine the way this regime is giving us the middle finger na ni their first term. Imagine their second term watatifanyia nini! The amount of theft and gross corruption going on is not sustainable, and we need someone to jail them!
A child is missing.
Read that again….a 15 year old child has been missing for 3 weeks. The parent was not alerted and the school was not aware.
