My late Father died in February 24th 2008.
He died a painful and regretful death.

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED.
I and my siblings grew up to meet our father building a house with his elder brother in our home town (Ogute- Oke in Okpilla) Etsako East Local Government of Edo State.

My late mom was against it but my Father kept saying don't separate me and my only brother.
During completion of the house, my mother's Father gave my father 20 new bundles of zinc as his support and also told my father, you shouldn't have built a house together with your brother but my Father told him don't worry, we are the same and cannot be separated.

My Father was working in Water Resources at Adesuwa in the old Bendel State and had money.
He was a construction engineer and made all the doors and windows of the house from Benin with his monies.

When the house was completed, his brother moved in and since my father and we all were staying in Benin, there was no issues. Whenever my father went to the village, they'll always make a room available for him so he didn't see any red flag or he pretended not to see.
The house was very big, a very big sitting room with two passages. Each passage has 6 rooms each.
One passage with 6 rooms was for my father while the second passage with 6 rooms was for my father's elder brother.

Problems started when my father's brother married a second wife and gave each wife and their children one passage each. My mother raised alarm but was seen as a trouble maker that's trying to separate two brothers, we the children had no say.

1997 my mother died and by 2001, my father was tired exhausted and needed to relocate back home. We tried stopping him but he said he has a house, a brother and mother over there so he was safe.
We hired a 9/11 truck to pack his properties which were very many because my parents indeed were very rich.
He had sent a message to his brother to vacate his part of the house that he was coming home.

When my Father got to the village, the brother didn't vacate the apartment. Rather he told my father that he has no house in the village. My father in his anger challenged him with his properties still inside 9/11 truck and his elder brother, the 2 wives and over 10 children joined hands together and beat up my Late Father black and blue. It was the Driver and motor boys that rescued him. Others villagers were just watching the show because many persons warned him of that decision but he never listened.

Even as I'm typing it here, I'm very angry 😡. I can feel my anger rising.

The Driver couldn't do much so they dropped my father's property by the road side. Trust village people, rain started and both his fridge, deep freezer, television, executive chair as they were call then, foam and clothes, everything were destroyed by the rain.

After my father had gone to receive treatment from the beaten he received, a distant relative called him and told him they have a room to spare but it needs to be maintained, it was actually an OLD ABANDONED KITCHEN.

My father had no choice but to move into an old abandoned Kitchen because he refused to listen when all the warnings were been given to him.

He died few years later after telling us everything that transpired and begged us never to come for the house.
The wicked brother is also dead and the house is too big for his children to maintain.
Last time I checked, I heard some portion of the house has collapsed and I don't even care.

His children are calling begging for me and my siblings to support the renovation of the house thinking we didn't know what happened and I've told my siblings I'm not interested in village properties.
If I need one, I'll drive down meet my King and he'll allocate a property to me. I'll pay for it get my title deeds and face my front.
