Across 40 studies (~6,400 women), women with PCOS in LMICs face a major mental-health burden:
• Depression: 51%
• Anxiety: 45%
• Highest among women aged 20–25
• Peaks in studies from India
• Clinical symptoms (infertility, hirsutism, acne) ≠ predictors

Why it matters:
PCOS care in LMICs must include routine mental-health screening + culturally sensitive support.
