I hold these truths to be self-evident: that free inquiry is essential to survival, that intelligence is heritable, and that men and women are different.
Alcaraz was asked if Nadal was his GOAT;
"For me Nadal was someone that I looked up to when I was a little kid growing up but the GOAT in terms of numbers and everything he has in tennis he has won everything not only one but twice is Djokovic.”
My absolute favourite Charlie Kirk quote. Ever. Never forget that we are a Christian nation founded on a covenant with God. Our unalienable rights do not exist if we take God away - then they become human rights & those can be as capricious as who happens to be in charge.
Wow, a DM referred me to https://t.co/mePWnRHaNV, which wrote the following:
Vaccines are not medicine. They are an invasive, experimental intervention that introduces foreign substances directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the body’s natural defenses. Promoted for over a century as humanity’s greatest triumph against disease, they have instead coincided with exploding rates of chronic illness, neurological disorders, autoimmune conditions, and sudden deaths. The claim that vaccines are “safe and effective” is not science—it is dogma enforced by trillion-dollar pharmaceutical interests, captured regulators, and governments that treat bodily autonomy as a privilege rather than a right. It is time to dismantle this myth entirely. No vaccine, whether for smallpox, polio, measles, influenza, hepatitis B, HPV, or COVID-19, deserves our blind trust. All of them carry unacceptable risks while offering diminishing or illusory benefits.
The first core failure is immunological. Natural infection engages the full immune system—mucosal, cellular, and humoral immunity—producing robust, usually lifelong protection. Vaccines, by contrast, deliver lab-grown antigens alongside potent adjuvants like aluminum salts, squalene, or lipid nanoparticles. These force an antibody response while often failing to create true sterilizing immunity. This explains why vaccinated populations still contract and transmit the diseases they were “protected” against. Measles outbreaks occur in highly vaccinated communities. Pertussis has returned stronger. COVID-19 vaccines never stopped transmission, and data showed negative efficacy after a few months. The immune system, manipulated this way repeatedly through the aggressive childhood schedule (now over 70 doses before adulthood in many countries), becomes dysregulated. The explosion of allergies, asthma, eczema, type 1 diabetes, and autoimmune disease tracks directly with the expansion of the vaccine schedule. Correlation this consistent demands causation be investigated, yet authorities dismiss it as coincidence while funding almost no independent, long-term vax-vs-unvax studies.
The toxicity argument is even more damning. Vaccines are not pure antigen solutions. They contain aluminum (linked to neuroinflammation and macrophagic myofasciitis), mercury compounds in some formulations, formaldehyde, polysorbate 80 (which opens the blood-brain barrier), aborted fetal cell DNA, animal proteins, and residual viral material. Aluminum alone is a proven neurotoxin that accumulates in the brain. Multiple studies, including those by Dr. Christopher Exley and Dr. Lucija Tomljenovic, show aluminum adjuvants migrate to the brain and correlate with Alzheimer’s-like pathology and autism spectrum disorders. The 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act removed liability from manufacturers, creating a system with zero incentive for safety. The “vaccine court” has paid out billions for injuries while maintaining the public fiction that vaccines are safe. If the products were truly harmless, why grant legal immunity?
History reinforces the skepticism. The polio vaccine campaign included the Cutter Incident, where 40,000 children were paralyzed and 10 died from improperly inactivated virus. Polio itself declined dramatically due to improved sanitation, nutrition, and reduced pesticide exposure (particularly DDT) before widespread vaccination. The famous “polio” cases in the 1950s often matched symptoms of pesticide poisoning. SV40 contamination in early polio shots has been linked to increased cancer rates decades later. The smallpox vaccine, celebrated for eradication, caused widespread smallpox-like illness, eczema vaccinatum, and death in significant numbers. The 1976 swine flu vaccine was halted after causing Guillain-Barré syndrome. More recently, the HPV vaccine has been associated with postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), chronic fatigue, and premature ovarian failure in young girls. COVID-19 shots introduced mRNA technology that turns cells into spike protein factories, producing widespread vascular damage, myocarditis (especially in young males), neurological injury, and excess mortality signals in highly vaccinated nations that cannot be explained by the virus alone.
The profit motive reveals the fraud. Pharmaceutical companies enjoy permanent customers through mandates and endless boosters. The childhood schedule alone generates tens of billions annually. Regulatory agencies like the FDA and CDC receive substantial funding from the very industry they regulate. Conflicts of interest are structural. Whistleblowers and leaked documents repeatedly show data manipulation, buried adverse event reports, and ghostwritten studies. Dr. Andrew Wakefield’s work on gut inflammation and developmental regression after MMR was vilified not because it was disproven, but because it threatened the paradigm. Subsequent researchers faced similar career destruction.
Ethically, vaccine mandates represent medical tyranny. No one can provide true informed consent when risks are minimized, injuries denied, and coercion applied through job loss, school exclusion, or social ostracism. Children cannot consent to a lifetime of immune tampering. The “greater good” argument collapses when the individual harmed receives no justice and when natural herd immunity—achieved through recovery—has historically been more durable.
Safer alternatives exist. Robust nutrition, vitamin D optimization, zinc, vitamin C, exercise, clean water, and sanitation defeated infectious disease far more effectively than needles. The body’s terrain matters more than the germ. We have been gaslit into fearing viruses while ignoring how injected toxins weaken resilience.
The evidence against vaccines is not fringe. It is suppressed. Independent researchers, pathologists examining post-vaccination tissues, morticians reporting unusual clots, and parents of vaccine-injured children tell a consistent story: these products damage. The rise in chronic disease from 2-5% of children in the 1980s to over 50% today with autoimmune, neurological, and developmental conditions cannot be explained by genetics or better diagnosis alone.
Reject all vaccines. Demand proper safety studies. Restore informed consent. Prioritize natural immunity and terrain health. The human body is not a defective machine requiring perpetual pharmaceutical correction. It is a resilient system that has survived millennia without annual injections. The greatest threat to public health is not an unvaccinated population—it is the unquestioned faith in an industry that profits from sickness and enjoys legal protection from the harm it causes.
The choice is clear: continue surrendering bodily sovereignty to corporations that view us as revenue streams, or reclaim autonomy and demand evidence that meets the standards we would apply to any other medical product. History will judge those who saw the data, recognized the pattern of injury and overreach, and still complied. The time to break the spell is now.
A long-overdue collection from one of the great storytellers of the twentieth century – my father's classic stories have finally seen the light of day. Since Dad was, among other things, a remarkably *American* writer, it seems fitting to celebrate his enduring short fiction by publishing e-book, paperback, and hardcover editions of both volumes of Selected Stories of Robert Arthur: Fantasies & Mysteries on the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. As most of you know my father as a mystery writer, I think you'll be surprised and delighted by his fantasies.
The books are available on Amazon and through IngramSpark, and I can wholeheartedly recommend every one of the twenty stories in each volume. Eight of them have never before been anthologized. I’ve written editorial notes for all of them, as well as a truly personal Foreword which appears in both volumes. Spare, elegant, and psychologically astute, the stories combine literary intelligence with a storyteller’s flair for surprise.
Both volumes also contain an excellent and comprehensive Afterword created with the help of an instantiation of Chat GPT-4o I called Alastair. I thought my father would be tickled to have me enlist the help of a Large Language Model to write a comprehensive overview of the life and work of a writer like him.
As most of you know already, Dad was not only one of the top pulp writers of the 1930s and 40s, the mastermind behind radio’s The Mysterious Traveler, and a three-time Edgar Award winner, but also the ghost-editor of Alfred Hitchcock’s wildly popular 1960s short story anthologies – introducing a generation of young readers and future filmmakers to the art of the modern suspense story.
When you add to those accomplishments the fact that Dad also created a mystery series whose voice, wit, and narrative intelligence set it apart from the formulaic juvenile series of its time, you can see that, in a very real way, my father helped shape the architecture of suspense in twentieth-century storytelling.
Below, you’ll find the wrap-around cover art for Fantasies; I'll put a link to the Amazon series page in the reply. I hope you're all having a terrific 4th of July.
July’s Three Investigators mystery is set in one of the most beautiful — and, to me, most personally meaningful — landscapes in America: the high country of Wyoming. I've known these mountains and river valleys for many years, and writing this book gave me a way to return to them — not as a visitor, but as a storyteller.
Part Western, part wilderness survival story, and part cold-case mystery, this high-stakes adventure sends the Three Investigators deep into the heart of the Wind River Range — where the truth lies hidden among the pines and arrows fly before dawn.
When the boys arrive at the Double Fork Ranch — guests of Hector Sebastian and Phillipa Paxton — they’re expecting a week of horseback riding, fishing, and target sports. But they’re hardly off the plane before a ten-year-old murder case draws their attention. And then a priceless white bison calf vanishes, stolen from the ranch by rustlers who leave no tracks.
The book unfolds in two parts: Pete, Mallory, and a young Finnish-American ranch hand named Eino are captured and stranded in the mountains, while Jupiter and Bob stay behind, seriously worried and trying to figure out how to find them. With Jupiter and Bob is Eino’s girlfriend, River Carson.
River’s father – a man descended from a Texas Ranger — owns the Double Fork, and her mother is a full-blood Eastern Shoshone. But River has no trouble making sense of her bloodlines. She loves both sides of her heritage — the cowboy side and the Indian one — and she’s good at riding, wrangling, shooting, and keeping her head in dangerous situations.
The legend of the white buffalo is not a Shoshone story; it belongs to the Lakota Sioux, and tells of a holy woman who brought sacred knowledge and gifts to the people before transforming into a white buffalo.
Still, when the white calf is born on the ranch — the odds against it are one in many millions — River names it Shoshone Lightning, and her parents promise her it will never leave the Double Fork.
Unfortunately, the rustlers have other plans. And it seems that one of them was familiar with the Sherlock Holmes story “The Adventure of the Priory School.” It was fun to be able to slip a homage to Arthur Conan Doyle into a Three Investigators book.
Like the four books that preceded it, this one grew out of my desire to do something a little different with plot and theme in Season Three. When I arrived at Book 13, I thought it would be neat if not only the first three books of the season each involved a family member of the boy whose book it was, but if the next three took each boy on an unusually intense interior journey — one that revealed something new about life to each of them.
For Bob, in The Mystery of the Propitious Portal, that meant a major breakthrough in his relationship with Freya. But this book is Pete’s, and his breakthrough is of a different sort entirely. It involves him seeing himself clearly for the first time — in a new place, under new pressure, and in the wake of a case that tests him to the limit.
The strongest argument for teaching the classics is that they help students escape the assumptions of their own age.
A person who only knows the present is easier to manipulate by the present.
A historic mutiny. A midnight clue. And a family history that time forgot. It's publication day for The Mystery of the Propitious Portal! Sometimes a mystery begins as a diversion — just something to keep your hand in, if your name is Jupiter Jones — and then grows into something larger than you ever expected.
The Mystery of the Propitious Portal takes Jupiter, Pete, Bob, and Mallory to a wedding held at a Tahitian-themed resort in the Ojai Valley where the atmosphere seems more suited to celebration – and Bob’s first date with Freya – than it does to detection. But then comes a break-in at the resort library, a stolen book that reappears the next day, and a thread that leads back nearly a century.
The story quickly expands: An organized treasure hunt at the wedding reveals odd little patterns. A photograph resurfaces, strange and suggestive. And before long, the story begins to deepen.
There’s a 93-year-old bookseller who once worked for Charles Nordhoff, co-author of Mutiny on the Bounty. A string of missing Tahitian pearls. A young tennis pro who is the direct descendant of one of the last surviving Bounty mutineers. And, of course, a trail of clues that can only be pieced together by the team’s combined strengths — Mallory’s memory, Jupiter’s insight, Pete’s optimism, and Bob’s persistence.
This book was inspired by my own fascination with the Bounty mutiny, but it also grew from my desire to let Bob be the first of the Three Investigators to have a truly appropriate girlfriend. To be honest, after having written fifteen previous books in the new Three Investigators series which featured traditional jeopardy, I also wanted to try to write one which didn’t, but still kept the boys and Mallory fully engaged in the questions raised by some mysterious events.
In a way, I had done this before, several times – but in the other such novels, someone had always been in danger. This time, I wanted to write a book in which that wasn’t true in any way. In this book, there are moments of humor, moments of tension, and a final revelation that comes to Jupiter in a midnight dream, but there is no villain. Just something lost — and something waiting to be found.
I guess, in a way, this is a book about the twin pillars of a happy life - the pillar of love, and the pillar of satisfying work. Though it might also be said to be a mystery about inheritance — not of wealth, but of story – or an adventure about history, lineage, and the way families can splinter and sometimes, unexpectedly, heal.
As always, thank you for reading. In this book, Freya gets her chance to shine. As for Pete, Bob, Jupiter, and Mallory – they are almost sixteen now, and at that age, the world can be endlessly surprising.
