With 5 years left to meet the #GlobalGoals and the targets of the #KMGBF, we must pursue these universal agendas together to achieve harmony with nature and sustainable development.

The Oceans – The Bigger Picture winner is Justin Gilligan (Australia), showing a stark mosaic of 403 plastic pieces from the digestive tract of a dead flesh-footed shearwater.

All creatures take from nature, we’re not unique in that respect. But we have taken more than our share by a lot. We need to be mindful of our impact on what makes Earth habitable.
We know it is still possible to make the 1.5° limit a reality.
It requires tearing out the poisoned root of the climate crisis: fossil fuels.
And it demands a just, equitable renewables transition.
