With less than one year to go until the @Glasgow_2026 Commonwealth Games commence, we were pleased to welcome along several Scottish bowls icons to join in the celebrations on day one of #BSNatChamps25.

From Willie Wood MBE's gold in the men’s fours at Worthing 1992 to our five most recent gold medallists from Birmingham 2022, Robert Barr, Garry Brown, Sarah Jane Ewing, Melanie Inness and Pauline Wilson – it was amazing to have over 30 years’ worth of Scottish Commonwealth Games medallists together. Thank you to everyone who attended, we hope you all enjoyed sharing memories and celebrating your wonderful achievements.

🦄 Finnie, Glasgow 2026’s official mascot, was also in attendance to add to the celebrations, making her first public engagement appearance since being unveiled earlier this week.

🙌🏻 The countdown to the Games is now well and truly underway and we can’t wait to see @Team_Scotland’s bowlers competing in front of a home crowd next summer.
