10 years ago today, I boarded a plane to Barcelona with a one-way ticket, my possessions in a rucksack and less than โฌ100 in my pocket. I was 22 years old and ready for an adventure; life wasnยดt working out in the UK; I can only now put into words what I was feeling then.

It is 1 year since the first lockdown.
From locking down too late, to PPE shortages, to not lifting Sick Pay, to failing to fix Track and Trace, to not giving mental health services the funding needed, to not rewarding NHS staff with a decent pay rise, the Tories have failed us.
I feel like our current atttiude to the pandemic is very much like when I decide my period is over on day five and ruin two pairs of knickers with my optimism.
